Script to Screen

Script to screen is the process of taking a written script from the page and turning it into a live-action film, television drama, soap and series. This involves a number of steps, from pre-production through post-production.

During pre-production, the script is looked into with great detail to determine which locations, actors, props, and other elements need to be acquired and produced in order to film the script. A director is chosen and a crew assembled, then a budget is created to plan out the production process.

Once pre-production is complete, the production stage begins. The chosen locations are scouted, and the actors are rehearsed and filmed. Props, costumes, and sets are also prepared and filmed.
There maybe some special effects needed and at this stage, they need to be considered and sourced.

After the production stage is finished, the post-production stage begins. During this phase, the footage is edited, sound effects and music are added, color correction is done, and the finished product is compressed for distribution.

Finally, the film is then released for public viewing. Script to screen is a complex process, and requires the collaboration of many different artists, technicians, and professionals in order to create a successful film, drama or series.
