Really interesting article. I can see it would fall on deaf ears if a male comedian joked about women's issues etc.
I knew some one who was a stand up comedian and we went to one of his gigs. I felt sorry for him. It was like getting blood out of a stone for the audience to laugh. Very hard profession. You have to be top of your game to survive in this industry.
